External access to views

External engines such as Apache Spark can query Unity Catalog views over Delta Lake tables through the Unity REST API. The engine runs the view's SQL and reads the underlying tables, so the reader needs access to the view and every table or view it references. Access to views over Iceberg-compatible tables through the Iceberg REST catalog is still in Beta.
