Genie file analysis in Unity Catalog volumes
BetaLast seen at this status: 2026-07-23·44d ago
Lets a Genie Agent answer questions over unstructured files stored in Unity Catalog volumes, such as PDFs, slide decks and images, alongside governed tables in the same conversation. Up to 10 volumes can be attached, and Unity Catalog permissions are respected, so a user only sees files they already have access to. Shipped in Beta on 2026-07-23. Content search, which indexes attached volumes for faster and more accurate retrieval, followed on 2026-08-13, also in Beta.
