Serverless compute access control
GALast seen at this status: 2026-08-03·Aug 2026
Lets workspace admins control who can run serverless workloads through two built-in serverless compute objects: Default Interactive Compute for notebooks and Databricks Connect, and Default Automated Compute for jobs and Spark Declarative Pipelines. Each object has two permission levels, Can Use and Can Manage, and all workspace users have Can Use by default. Databricks SQL, Model Serving, Lakebase and Databricks Apps are not covered by these controls.
