GEOGRAPHY data type

GEOGRAPHY is a built-in SQL column type for points, lines and polygons whose coordinates are longitudes and latitudes in degrees on the globe, with SRID 4326 as the only allowed value, used with the ST geospatial functions. It shipped together with the GEOMETRY type in Databricks Runtime 17.1, but unlike GEOMETRY it is not yet fully supported across the common spatial functions.
