Genie is now a builder platform, not just a BI chat feature
This week's community output shows multiple independent teams using Genie as the entire backend for user-facing apps and games, not just a natural-language query box: TileGenie, two separate Genie-powered games, a business promo tool, and a Field Engineering readiness scorer for Genie Ontology all shipped or were written up in the same window. At the same time, builders are hitting real platform seams, like Genie MCP connectors collapsing across workspaces and odd etag behavior in the Genie Space API, the kind of friction that only shows up once people move from asking questions to shipping production integrations.
If you're building on Genie now, treat it as an integration surface with real API rough edges around multi-workspace MCP connectors and Space etag behavior, not just a chat widget, since teams are already shipping production apps on top of it.
